We are very excited to have produced our first "I AM..." Public Service Announcement. It highlights the accomplishments of various individuals with Down Syndrome. We hope this PSA will take the community one step closer to changing perceptions and fostering a sense of acceptance and unity.
Please share the video! Our goal continues to be for schools to show the PSA. Lets educate our youth as they are our future adults!

VISUALS to increase language
Kids to young adults with Down Syndrome participated in a Language program that also served as a clinical study. Data collection showed they all averaged double the number of words used in a 2 1/2 minute conversation by the end of the 12 week program. Four participants per group, they met only one time per week for one hour with the parent present for training. Visuals and real-life pictures were used as teaching materials with teaching strategy following a Verbal Behavior approach.
For more information, please contact us. We are hoping to replicate the program.

Yea, Down Syndrome...
but guess what?
Down Syndrome is a genetic syndrome in which a person has a full or partial extra copy of chromosome 21. Each of our cells contain a total of 46 chromosomes (23 pairs). In the case of Down Syndrome, there are 47 chromosomes. This is the cause for changes in the development of individuals with Down Syndrome.
In our eyes, this is what makes them unique and awesome!
Please visit the National Down Syndrome Society for a more thorough and clear explanation of Down Syndrome. Down Syndrome occurs in every 1 of 691 babies born in the United States.
